2013 Mountain Bike Race Calendar - After the contract renewal of Aaron Gwin who will race with the Trek World Racing team for another three years, here are some other important news. After four years of success in cross country xc program u.s. team has come to an end. "We are extremely pleased with the results," said Martin Whiteley (Team Director for Trek World Racing), ".. .with a silver medal and a bronze medal at the World Championships xc, 23 podiums in the World Cup and won three stages we are very pleased with our record.


We had the privilege of working with extremely talented athletes that have allowed the team to reserve a place of honor among the big. I would also like to thank the sponsors that have allowed these results ". The Trek World Racing team, therefore, focuses all resources in gravity.


This however does not mean that participation in the cross country Trek is finished; for the 2013 was indeed set up a separate program for the Olympic discipline whose direction was entrusted to Jon Rourke (Subaru-Trek). In the coming months we'll have more info about it, under the official press release. Following on the recent announcement that Aaron Gwin has signed to Trek World Racing for the next 3 years, the team is confirming that it will focus on gravity moving forward.


As Trek World Racing refocuses on gravity it will be bolstering its line-up of riders by adding another top rider. Trek World Racing will announce its remaining roster of 3 additional gravity riders later in the year. The only confirmed signing at this point is Aaron Gwin. After 4 years of successfully Trek racing Bikes at the sharp end of the World Cup XC scene with extremely talented athletes like Lukas Flueckiger, Mathias Flueckiger, Emily Batty, Anton Cooper, Willow Rockwell and Liam Killeen, the Trek World Racing XC program will be finishing at the end of this year.
